What is Chronic Lyme?

Lyme disease is caused by bacteria called Borrelia burgdorferi or Borrelia mayonii, which are transmitted to humans as a result of a tick bite. Symptoms include fever, headache, fatigue, and/or skin rash. Chronic lyme disease occurs when symptoms continue despite treatment with antibiotics.
