My Story

Amy Fischer is a New York-based registered dietitian and nutritionist, nutrition writer, educator and healthy living enthusiast.  She currently works at a one of the largest teaching hospitals in NYC as a clinical dietitian in adult acute care.

Amy received a Bachelor of Art degree in Journalism from Miami University of Ohio and a Masters of Science degree in Nutrition From New York University.  She completed her dietetic training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in affiliation with NYU.

She has contributed chapters for textbooks including The Health Professional’s Guide to Gastrointestinal Nutrition (Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics), Bioactive Food as Interventions for Arthritis and Related Inflammatory Diseases (Elsevier Limited) and Encyclopedia of Human Nutrition (Elsevier Limited).

Amy is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and various dietetic practice groups including Hunger and Environmental Nutrition (HEN), Dietitians in Business and Communications Dietary Practice Group and Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine.
