My Story

Hi there! I’m Samantha, the 5 foot tall, yogi loving, health nut behind thehealthynugget! Throughout high school, I didn’t focus much on my health.  I had always struggled with IBS and found it difficult to make food work for me.  In my junior year of high school, I developed an interest for healthy eating, which soon led to a serious eating disorder. After struggling for 3 years, I successfully gained my life back.  Since then, I have been focusing on fueling my body with real, whole, organic foods. In recent years, my IBS has gotten worse so I focus on eating foods that are healing and easily digestible.  I also maintain a gluten and dairy free diet, as it alleviates a good portion of my symptoms. Follow me on my journey to finding true balance with my digestive issues, my health, and my happiness!
