Almond Joy Smoothie

Here is a delicious smoothie you can enjoy guiltlessly—this Almost Joy Smoothie provides you with plenty of nutrients and, as the name suggests, so much joy! Coconut, banana and honey not only give this smoothie its irresistible sweetness, but also help prevent heart disease by lowering blood cholesterol levels and providing plenty of antioxidants. The spinach also gives you a boost of antioxidants, as well as essential vitamins for a stronger immune system. And can you believe the collagen provides even greater benefits? Making up 90% of our bone matrix, it helps keep our skeleton sturdy and strong, as well as strengthening ligaments and muscles. It also hydrates our skin, leaving it smooth and ready for the day!

Further Food Nutritionist Commentary:

I love a good smoothie with some plant based protein, healthy fats, and fiber. This one hits all the marks. I give it extra points for the spinach, since it's an easy way to add extra nutrients without contributing to the sugars or calories, or compromise the taste.
