This Collagen Hot Chocolate is so easy to make and a delicious crowd-pleaser! Use the milk of your choice and mix with all the other ingredients until warm. The added Further Food Chocolate Marine Collagen boosts the nutrition of this nourishing drink, and provides benefits for your skin, gut and joints. Marine Collagen contains Types 1, 2 & 3 collagen and is more absorbable than other collagens. The added reishi mushrooms also help to improve mood and even boost immunity.

This Hot Chocolate is so easy to make, and much better for you than those powdered mixes! We use almond milk here, but you can substitute your favorite milk. If you are watching your sugar intake, you can reduce or eliminate the added Maple Syrup.

Ingredients

1 cup almond milk or non-dairy milk of choice
3 teaspoons Further Food Chocolate Marine Collagen
1 Tablespoon chopped dark chocolate or chocolate chips
1-2 teaspoons maple syrup
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of sea salt
Optional Toppings: Coconut whipped cream, chocolate shavings, chocolate chips

Instructions

 1. In a small saucepan, combine milk, Chocolate Collagen, chocolate chips, maple syrup, vanilla and salt.
2. Heat on medium-low heat, stirring until the chocolate is melted, about 5-7 minutes. (Make sure not to let the chocolate mixture boil.)
3. Pour into a mug, and top with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
