The irresistible crunch and sweet flavors of granola are one of my favorites for breakfast.  A quick baking session to make a batch of Golden Turmeric Granola and you’ll have breakfast for the whole week.  A simple recipe with minimal ingredients, a quick bake time and even added veggies. Golden Turmeric Granola (Dairy-Free, Gluten-Free)

Ingredients

⅓ cup avocado oil
½ cup honey
3 cups rolled oats
2 scoops Further Food Daily Turmeric Tonic
½ cup coconut shreds
1 carrot, grated (about ⅓ cup)
½ cup raisins

 

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, coconut shreds, grated carrots and raisins.  Set aside.
  3. In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, combine avocado oil and honey.  Stirring continually, heat for 2-3 minutes or until ingredients are melted and well mixed.

  4. Remove from heat.  Add 2 scoops of Daily Turmeric Tonic, stir until well combined.  Pour liquid over dry ingredients.

  5. Using a large wooden spoon mix together all ingredients.  Scoop out on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes.  Stirring halfway through to ensure raisins will not burn. Cool completely before transferring to an airtight container.
