Strawberry Kefir Pops

Print

I love kefir for its probiotic, gut-health-boosting properties. But I don’t always feel like drinking a glass of kefir because it can be a bit sour. I originally created these kefir pops for my kids because I had some kefir leftover and didn’t want it to go bad while we were on vacation. Now they are my preferred way to “drink” kefir! And I feel good about giving them to my kids because they are so much better than ice pops with all the added sugar.

Further Food Nutritionist Commentary:

Low calorie, low fat and low carb, no way! Stefanie has utilized the digestive benefits of kefir to make a guilt free sweet treat! Kefir can be described as a more powerful version of yogurt due to its lengthy list of nutrients and probiotics created through the fermentation process. Strawberries contain manganese, copper, phosphorus and antioxidants in the form of vitamin C which can boost immune function. Bananas are most known for their potassium content which is essential for maintaining normal blood pressure and heart function.
