Tropical Dragonfruit Mango Smoothie (High Protein, Immune Boosting, Anti-Inflammatory)

Print

Aloha! This was my go to breakfast when I was living in Hawaii for 4 months. I took advantage of the fresh, super sweet fruit available in Hawaii to make this delicious, antioxidant and protein packed smoothie every morning. This smoothie is tropical happiness every morning! For most of us who don’t live in Hawaii or somewhere tropical, buying frozen mango and frozen dragonfruit is a great alternative if you can’t buy them fresh. You can also switch out tropical fruits depending on what you can get – pineapple, passion fruit, kiwis, etc are also fantastic additions or substitutions.

The other thing you can play around with is adding different functional foods to your smoothie. I always add in heaps of collagen to my smoothies. Collagen is not only great for your skin and joints, it also is great for gut healing and repair… and keeping you full all morning!  I also like to open up supplement capsules and sneak them into my smoothies. I’ll put in Further Food’s Curcumin turmeric into my smoothies all the time. Further Food’s Curcumin Turmeric supplement is awesome since it has both the curcumin extract and full spectrum full root turmeric powder in it.

Hope you brighten up you morning with this gut-healing, protein-packed tropical smoothie! Aloha!

Further Food Commentary:

This smoothie is a powerhouse of nutrients! You'll get lots of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants from the fruit, nuts, avocado and leafy greens. Plus, adding in collagen helps to amp up the protein and add additional benefits for your skin, hair and nails. Then opening up and pouring in capsules like Ultimate Immune Support or Curcumin is a great hack-what an easy way to get the benefits of these powerful supplements without having to swallow the pills!
