My Story

Many years ago, upon the passing of my dad who (and his entire family) passed prematurely of heart disease, I had my blood checked to see if I followed his genetic lines and unfortunately I did and had alarmingly high cholesterol.  I went vegetarian, low fat, ate all the latest foods to support lowering cholesterol but nothing really made a significant change until I realized it’s sugar and carbs, not fat!  Sugar causes inflammation and the response of arteries to inflammation is to protect themselves by laying down a waxy substance caused plaque.

When I eliminated almost all sugars (most fruits as well), my cholesterol went into normal range and even the plaque on my teeth, once a huge issue, became almost non-existent.  The health of my gums improved and I easily dropped unneeded weight. Nice side effects!
