My Story

I always loved science and health.  I was 18 when I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease.  At the time, I lacked a road map to explain how some foods could hurt and some foods could heal; and no doctor of mine offered me any insight. It was this experience that fueled my passion for nutrition. I became a Registered Dietitian and also got a Master’s Degree in Nutrition Sciences.

Over the next two decades, I was in and out of remission, on every medication available and eventually had to have surgery. Now I am Crohn’s free but the surgery as well as a c-diff infection after the surgery has left me with gluten sensitivity, leaky gut, lactose intolerance, fructose intolerance, IBS, and SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth). Between my extensive personal experience, as well as my professional training, I have so much knowledge now that really could have helped me back then.

I enjoy helping people with digestive disorders. There is so much to navigate: foods that help vs. foods that hurt, and above all, gut bacteria. I also love helping parents with their feeding issues, picky eaters and power struggles. Over the years, I have also helped people lose weight and just eat right and feel their best!
