5 Ingredient Healthy Ferrero Rocher Truffles Print 109 LikeDislike By giada mazzer Many people think that eating healthy and wholesome food is only to do with looking good and being at a good weight. But for me it is to do with feeling good on the inside and eating food that nourish the body. Making delicious desserts that taste just as good as junk food but that make you also feel good is amazing. These Ferrero Rocher truffles are full of raw cacao, good fats and no sugar. They’re a healthy and indulgent treat with all the flavour and texture of the traditional Ferrero Rocher Truffles without all the processed ingredients and refined sugars.Cacao powder is the purest form of chocolate on planet earth and can be considered a superfood offering a wealth of antioxidants and essential vitamins of Group B and E and minerals (magnesium, calcium, sulfur, zinc, iron, copper, potassium, and manganese), polyphenols called flavonoids with antioxidant properties, essential heart-healthy fat, protein and fiber. These nutrients have been linked to a number of health benefits: lower blood pressure, promote cardiovascular function, neutralize free radicals due to the high levels of antioxidants, improve digestion, enhance physical and mental well-being by stimulating hormones such as endorphins that increase serotonin (this works as a a libido-booster).If you love chocolate, you’ll want to try Further Food Chocolate Collagen. It will satisfy your chocolate cravings, while helping to curb sweet cravings and keep you full longer.
Karin March 10, 2023 at 3:29 amGreat recipe, thanks! I ended up adding some cashewbutter and vegan vanilla protein powder to make a more formable dough. My in-laws (big time chocolate addicts) loved it! Reply ↓
Sabrina Harris December 2, 2020 at 7:48 pmThese were super soft/too liquid for me, using the measurements above. I added more nuts and cocoa powder to help it come together, but they’re still not solid at all. Did this happen to others? Any advice beyond adding oil as mentioned in another comment? Reply ↓
onlinecasinomaxi May 14, 2020 at 9:02 pmSo when I tried these they kinda fell apart a little. So I made them again using just one tablespoon of coconut oil, and that totally worked! Reply ↓

M. January 7, 2018 at 2:35 pmThese were super easy and actually pretty fun to make. I roasted over 1 cup of hazelnuts at 275 for 15 minutes, then rubbed them in paper towels to remove most of the skin. (Since the recipe calls for 2/3 to be processed then you need more to put 1 in the center and another 10 or so for the outer part.) A great healthy way for me to get my sweet tooth and good fats on. Thanks a bunch for sharing this! Reply ↓
Recipe Team January 3, 2018 at 4:03 amAggie: You should be able to buy cacao powder at most health food stores or on Amazon. Enjoy! Reply ↓
Amy December 23, 2017 at 5:23 pmDo you remove the skins from the hazelnuts once you have roasted them? Reply ↓
Melissa September 23, 2017 at 8:32 amRecipe sounds fantastic but you talk about using roasted hazelnuts. Can you tell us what temperature you roasted them at and for how long. Reply ↓
Recipe Team September 27, 2017 at 2:52 amMelissa: Usually you can toast or roast the hazelnuts at around 400. Just monitor the nuts the entire time-it should only take a few minutes. As soon as they start turning brown, you can remove them from oven. Reply ↓
Brenda July 22, 2017 at 5:50 amThe ingredient list calls for vanilla extract. The directions say vanilla powder. Which one is it? I have both. Reply ↓
Recipe Team July 30, 2017 at 4:14 amThanks for the question. You can use either, but we typically use vanilla extract in our baking. Reply ↓

Recipe Team July 30, 2017 at 4:14 amThese can be stored in either fridge or freezer depending on what consistency you would like them. Reply ↓
Mae April 26, 2017 at 6:05 amIn step two you mention vanilla powder but I do not see it on the ingredient list. It seems like something is missing. Can you re check ingredients and let me know please. Reply ↓
Recipe Team July 30, 2017 at 4:15 amThanks for the comment. We have modified recipe to refer to only vanilla extract. Enjoy! Reply ↓
allie February 7, 2017 at 3:08 pmjust made these- super easy to make, and tastes very similar to FR. thanks for this recipe i will definitely use again. i may try a variation using macadamia nuts and coating truffles in cacao powder. Reply ↓
Diane Carano January 12, 2017 at 7:20 amI would love to make these, but wanted to check the ingredient amounts first. It calls for 1/2c hazelnuts. Could that be an error? it seem unlikely that amount would yield 18 truffles with a nut in each center. Thanks! Reply ↓
Lillian Zhao January 12, 2017 at 11:17 amDiane – Thanks for spotting that! The conversion was incorrect – it’s 2/3 cups of hazelnuts. The recipe has been changed to reflect it. Thank you again! Reply ↓

Julia Winter October 7, 2015 at 3:23 pmWhen I was a kid, I used to take spoonfuls of nutella and put them in the freezer. Delish, but not so great for you… these taste JUST like that, but actually healthy! Reply ↓
Emilie Josephine October 7, 2015 at 3:20 pmSo when I tried these they kinda fell apart a little. So I made them again using just one tablespoon of coconut oil, and that totally worked! I think they would even be awesome as little halloween treats so kids can eat “candy” that’s GOOD for them. Reply ↓

Tanya October 7, 2015 at 2:36 pmI was hesitant at first because I was like – could they really be that easy? and still taste good? SO I made these last weekend for a family picnic and couldn’t believe how easy and tasty they were. The flavors of the hazelnut and chocolate really pop! I liked them slightly warm and gooey…the kids kept asking for more! Definitely making again! Reply ↓
