Further Food Commentary:

These waffles are a great way to spice up the normal weekend breakfast routine. Superfood Turmeric contains a blend of spices including turmeric, cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom. These all have unique beneficial effects as antioxidants and anti-inflammatories. There are also adaptogens in this blend which are immune-boosting and have been shown to improve mood and even protect against cancer. Using avocado oil here is also a great substitution for butter. Where most of the fats in butter are saturated, avocado oil is mostly made of monounsaturated fats which have been linked to reducing cholesterol levels.

1/2 teaspoon cardamom
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons unsweetened vanilla almond milk

*using banana makes the batter very wet and may cause the waffles to stick a bit so grease the
iron well
*When reheating, toasting on high will make them very crunchy because of the nut flour.
Warming them in the toaster oven at a low temp or in the microwave first, and then lightly
toasting will provide best results.
