Vegan Bulletproof Coffee

This is the only way I can drink coffee in the morning without getting the shakes! And blending ensures that you get a nice, frothy, luxurious drink. I love the way the coconut milk and coconut oil infuse the coffee with flavor – added bonus is that it makes this recipe a vegan option for those of you who don’t want to use grass-fed butter!

Further Food Commentary:

Coffee and coconut oil both have proven health benefits from fighting parkinsons to providing energy and alertness and even enhancing athletic performance, what could be better. I am a fan of coffee I just usually don’t like what people put in it (sugar, dairy, artificial sweeteners, etc). Here you basically have breakfast in a drink with the boost you need, no sugar added.

We use Ghee for our Bulletproof Coffee and I don’t need the flavor enhanced but my husband loves the cinnamon sprinkled on top. It’s meant to be a meal replacement in the morning. We love it!

This how I prepare mine as well will just a bit of raw honey for sweetness. I have also added cocoa powder, cinnamon and vanilla for some different flavors. Cayenne pepper with the cocoa powder is amazing!

I like how bulletproof coffee uses the idea of adding calories to help you lose weight while your sleep. I admit I’ve been hesitant but I’m going to try it out. Thanks for sharing your recipe. I’m a big fan of coconut oil in my coffee.

I actually enjoy coffee mostly for the taste, not because I need a caffeine boost. I’m really attached to my routine of just adding Almond Milk to my coffee – curious to see if this satisfies me as well.

I love coffee but don’t really like the taste of coconut. Are there other milk or oil/butter alternatives I can use? OR a way to mask the coconut flavor?

I discovered bulletproof coffee about a year ago and have enjoyed the benefits since…stronger mental clarity, weight loss, stabilized blood sugar throughout the day. My favorite version is with a splash of vanilla and a little cinnamon, too. Usually I do it with grass fed butter but I look forward to trying this version.

i love this drink! I drink it almost every day right now, to give me the quick, lasting energy I need to chase after a now crawling baby! A friend of mine suggested adding an egg yolk, which is awesome! I often spice it up with cinnamon, vanilla and occasionally switch out the fats with grass-fed butter and raw milk.

This coffee was delicious! It was rich and creamy without the cream thanks to the use of coconut milk!
