When it’s a cold afternoon and you’re relaxing by the fire, there is nothing more appealing than having a hot, delicate drink. So try our Spiced Cinnamon Turmeric Apple Cider with Protein Boost, which combines the soothing qualities of apple cider with powerful nutrients to keep you warm AND healthy this winter. The secret to lower sugar in this recipe is to boil the apples and orange, rather than using juice or cider which can have hidden added sugars. And who can resist that seductive scent of cinnamon and cloves from the Superfood Turmeric? Cinnamon helps lower blood sugar levels and provides heart-healthy benefits, while apple juice is rich in detoxifying antioxidants and fiber. The cloves and adaptogens are important spices for reducing inflammation, digestive problems and boosting the immune system. And the collagen keeps your skin looking healthy and young, as well as your bones strong and ready for the day. It is no secret that our Spiced Cinnamon Turmeric Apple Cider with Protein Boost will keep you energized and vibrant for the whole season!

Further Food Commentary:

Besides being a comforting and delicious drink for the cold weather, this spiced cider can also help keep you from getting sick this season. Apples are loaded with vitamin C, a known immunity booster, that is also important for cardiovascular health and skin. The protein boosting collagen in this recipe is another key nutrient for healthy skin, as well as joint health. When collagen is combined with vitamin C, it is able to be converted to a usable protein form in the body, making it fit for muscle repair and growth, and regular metabolism.

Founder's story:

"My father had just been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, my mom was
managing her hypothyroid, and my best friend was struggling with painful IBS.
I went online to search for food-based and natural solutions that could help
them heal. But what I found was scattered, disorganized, and left me more confused. I thought, ‘There must be an easier way to discover solutions for various ailments from real experts and from people who had done it themselves. So I decided to build a resource—a platform for food as medicine solutions
for all your health needs. And I decided to take the wisdom from this community to create real food based products that heal.
