Indulge your taste buds with this super healthy chocolate peanut butter protein shake. Loaded with Further Food Chocolate collagen, it’s your ultimate post-workout recovery boost!

After an intense workout, I love to make this Chocolate Peanut Butter Collagen Protein Shake to feed my muscles and aid in their recovery. The collagen peptides in the Further Food Chocolate Collagen  provide 18 amino acids, including 8 out of 9 essential amino acids, which help in muscle repair and recovery. Just what I need after a workout!

Collagen peptide powder is a lot more satiating than whey protein, so it helps to keep you full longer. And this Chocolate Collagen protein powder doesn’t contain a lot of additives or sweeteners like a lot of protein powders out there. Instead, Further Food Chocolate Collagen has just  4 ingredients with a delicious protein boost!

Make sure to use natural, unsweetened peanut or almond butter which will give this shake a nice nutty taste with an additional protein boost. You will love that it tastes like a Reeses peanut butter cup! This makes a great on the go breakfast or lunch because it is so quick and easy to make.

Further Food Commentary:

When buying peanut butter it is important to look for a natural one where the only ingredients are peanuts and maybe salt. Some peanut butter contains processed sugars and hydrogenated oils which are unhealthy. Natural peanut butter that is made from just peanuts actually has many health benefits including being high in protein, heart-healthy fats and vitamins, and minerals.

Founder's story:

"My father had just been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, my mom was
managing her hypothyroid, and my best friend was struggling with painful IBS.
I went online to search for food-based and natural solutions that could help
them heal. But what I found was scattered, disorganized, and left me more confused. I thought, ‘There must be an easier way to discover solutions for various ailments from real experts and from people who had done it themselves. So I decided to build a resource—a platform for food as medicine solutions
for all your health needs. And I decided to take the wisdom from this community to create real food based products that heal.

I started putting collagen in my morning tea about a year ago, to help an injured hip socket heal. I am happy that on the side, my hair is growing back from where stress had thinned it way out. It’s even coming in with color and I started turning gray a LONG time ago. My nails are stronger. And that morning beverage is really satisfying.
