Avocado Matcha Breakfast Smoothie Bowl

Avocado Matcha Breakfast Smoothie Bowl

Give your body a spring cleaning and help to burn the winter excess. This thick and creamy green smoothie is easy to make and the taste is great, too!

I added some detox superfoods to this green smoothie recipe that will help the liver eliminate harmful toxins and keep the body clean and healthy.

Fresh pineapple and lime aids in detoxing your body. They are low in calories and extremely rich in fiber and Vitamin C.

Avocado is naturally nutrient-dense and contains around 20 vitamins and minerals. Eating this good type of fat can help the liver dumps the toxins that it processes into the bile. Avocado benefits also include protecting your skin from wrinkles and other visible signs of aging with its antioxidant carotenoids; vitamin E which helps guard against photo-aging from sun exposure; and vitamin C which is involved in the creation of elastin and collagen for maintaining your skin’s elasticity and firmness.

Matcha contains amino acids, varying antioxidants and several vitamins including A, C and K. It is a natural fat burner that helps to boost metabolism, lowers cholesterol, and blood sugar.

Further Food Commentary:

In every serving of avocado, you get nearly 20 vitamins and minerals, including lutein, folate and potassium, which are good for your eyes, enhance cell repair and are needed during pregnancy and to help control blood pressure, respectively. While avocados are high in fat, it’s the good kind of fat, called monounsaturated fats, which helps lower bad cholesterol. Therefore, eat in moderation as they have a lot of calories per serving-with 1/5 of a medium avocado/1 oz is equal to 50 calories. Those that are lactose intolerant are able to sub coconut milk for cow's milk. A 100 ml serving of coconut milk contains 154 calories, 1.4 g protein, 15 g fat with 13.2 g of it saturated and 3.4 g carbohydrates. Thinner coconut milk consistencies are best for curries and soups while thicker version do well in desserts and rich sauces.
