To celebrate Mother’s Day, we come together as a family and plant our very own garden at the beginning of every May. Throughout the years, our family garden has become a custom I look forward to when springtime approaches! What better way to celebrate health and happiness than by growing and cooking our own fruits and vegetables as a family? The gardening experience is one I’ve grown to love and cherish, not only because it brings us together, but because we have some amazing and utterly tasty produce to show for it. That’s really the cherry on top. Below, we’ll show you what kinds of delicious and nutritious produce we plant and provide some showstopping recipes you can cook up in your own kitchen using the various fruits and vegetables we have in our garden. Every year, we replant our raised beds, sometimes plant a new tree, and always fill our garden with new plants. Aside from being a joyful tradition, the garden also provides us with an abundant supply of healthy, fresh vegetables that make following my own Paleo protocol that much easier!
