After a hard workout, I’m always looking for high anti-inflammatory power and protein foods. I came up with this spoonie (smoothies so thick you can eat them with a spoon) after a workout full of squats. My workout, along with the fact that spring is peeking around the corner, had me craving figs – which are full of fiber, vitamins, minerals and natural sugar to replenish depleted stores of glycogen. It also contains ginger which reduces inflammation and contains plant protein to repair muscle. Not only is this recipe VERY simple, but is also a nutritional powerhouse with all the ingredients!
