3 Ingredient Dark Chocolate Fondue with Strawberries

Print

When you eat chocolate with fruit it not only tastes really good, but you also get the nutritional benefits of the fruit! Best is when strawberries are in season! They’re super sweet and juicy.   It’s a win/win.

Further Food Commentary:

What a healthful dessert: no added sugar! Bananas and strawberries are ideal fruits for everyone with IBS or not, as they are low FODMAP and chock full of vitamins. Dark chocolate contains a large amount of anti-oxidants, as well.

3 Ingredient Dark Chocolate Fondue with Strawberries

Stars ( Reviews)

  • Prep Time:10 minutes
  • Cook Time:0
  • Servings: 4

Ingredients

1 cup 70% chocolate chunks
1/2 cup light coconut cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups fresh fruit (strawberries and slightly green bananas are my favorite)

Instructions

1. Combine all of the ingredients, except fruit, in a glass bowl and microwave it in 15 second intervals, stirring in between. The fondue is ready when the chocolate is melted!
2. If you’d rather not use a microwave, combine the chocolate, coconut cream, and vanilla in a large glass bowl and place it over a pot of steaming water (keep the heat pretty low). Stir, until melted. Enjoy with the fruit!
3. You can serve the fondue straight from the bowl you melted it in, or scoop it into a more fancy serving bowl. Enjoy!
