Dairy Free Spinach Pesto


I absolutely love adding sauces to any of my meals and I’ve been wanting to make a delicious pesto sauce. This one in particular is dairy free, but feel free to add shredded mozzarella in there if you’d like! Add this to your pastas, salads, sandwiches.. you name it! I’ve put it in all my meals since I made it.

Revered as "holy herb" in many cultures all around the world, basil contains several polyphenolic flavonoids like orientin and vicenin and are rich in vitamin K and A. While it's often associated with Mediterranean cooking, additional varieties include Thai, cinnamon and lemon. With the balance of 3:1 ratio of omega 3 and fatty acids, which promote cardiovascular health, hemp seeds are also considered a 'perfect protein' as they contain all essential 20 amino acids. Hemp seed use can also reduce sugar cravings and naturally cleanse out the colon with its soluable and insoluable fiber properties.

1/2 cup basil
1 big handful of spinach
1/4 cup olive oil
2 garlic cloves
1 scoop of Further Food Collagen Peptides
1 teaspoon of hemp seeds
1/4 cup pine nuts
1 squeezed lemon
salt & pepper
