Seed-Stuffed Pesto

I’ll go ahead and admit it. I’m a saucy kind of girl. Creamy avocado. Organic BBQ sauce. Lemon juice. They always land on my lunches and dinners, often at the same time! There’s a new obsession for my taste buds, though. It’s creamy. It’s tangy. It’s stuffed with seeds. And it’s free of any gluten, dairy, nuts while being packed with nutritious flavor!

It’s my new seed-stuffed pesto. And it’s covering all pizzas, turkey burgers, salmon and sweet potato sliders, and stir frys in the near vicinity.

Further Food Nutritionist Commentary:

Pestos are a surprisingly versatile sauce that you should definitely give a try. Casey's version is a perfect blend of high fiber and low sugar ingredients that you can feel good about. In addition, did you know that hemp seeds have an amino acid profile comparable to meat and dairy, and they are an excellent source of the essential omega-3 fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid (ALA)? If you can tolerate seeds and/or higher fat foods, try this pesto recipe to give your next dish a nutritional boost!
