Homemade Collagen Popsicles (Dairy-Free, Gluten-Free, Low-Fat)

Collagen Popsicles! Yes, it’s a thing. And I know what you’re thinking.  But, I promise that you don’t taste the collagen.  These sweet treats are sure to please both the kids and adults this summer!

Regular ice cream and esp popsicles will spike your blood sugar and then make you crash.  But because these popsicles are made with just a few ingredients and with whole fruit, they are full of fiber and antioxidants and most importantly, packed with protein due to adding in the secret ingredient… collagen peptides.

I really like Further Food because it dissolves super quickly into my drinks. It has no flavor, no smell and does not clump or gel-up. I can add it to my favorite beverage (hot or cold) and mixing into my meals and get creative with recipes. And most importantly, it is Grass-fed, Pasture-raised, Non-GMO, Kosher, Gluten-free, Paleo, Keto.

Further Food Nutritionist Commentary:

These low calorie, low fat, low carb collagen popsicles make the perfect guilt-free treat! 1 Popsicle has just 54 calories, 1g fat and 11g carbs. The delicious blueberries and cherries contribute their antioxidant properties to these pops and the Further Food Collagen Peptides are an easy way to add in protein without even noticing it!

Homemade Collagen Popsicles (Dairy-Free, Gluten-Free, Low-Fat)

  • Prep Time:5 minutes
  • Cook Time:1 minute
  • Servings: 6

Ingredients

1/2 cup organic berry juice of choice ( I used Suja Cold-Pressed Juice )
1 cup organic coconut milk
1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 cup black cherries (pitted)
2 tablespoons, raw unfiltered honey
1 scoop Further Food Collagen

*Make sure to add the honey because it is necessary to keep the popsicles from becoming too icy.

Instructions

  1. Wash and prep all fresh ingredients. Pit the cherries.
  2. Add all ingredients into a high-speed blender. I used my NutriBullet.
  3. Blend to your desired consistency. I like having some visible fruit pieces.
  4. Once ready, pour into popsicle molds and freeze until solid. Enjoy.
