Orange and Berry Infused Water

Print

Drinking water is one of the best things you can do for your body, but 64+ ounces per day can be boring and tedious, especially for those who claim they don’t like the taste of water! In order to make drinking water more fun, I created this infusion recipe that is hydrating,  nutritious, and has just the right amount of sweetness. This antioxidant mixture of blueberries, raspberries and orange naturally helps the body detoxify. For a stronger flavor, muddle the berries or squeeze a couple orange slices before soaking. Consider this recipe a starting off point. You can use any mixture of herbs and fruits to please your taste buds!

Further Food Commentary:

This particular mixture is extremely high in Vitamin C, which must be obtained from the diet since we don’t make or store our own. Vitamin C is an antioxidant, and may play a protective role in conditions like cancer, heart disease, and arthritis. Vitamin C is also essential in wound healing, growth and repair of tissues.
