Ground turkey is a great protein to use, if you are eating meat. It is a very lean meat and therefore has little fat content. Meat is a great source of protein, vitamin B12, and L-carnitine. Paleo Turkey Chili

  • Prep Time: 5 minutes
  • Cook Time: 40 minutes
  • Servings: 4

Ingredients

1.5 lbs ground turkey
1 clove garlic
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup chopped celery
1 cup diced carrots
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne
4 cups chopped zucchini
15 oz. can of tomato sauce
15 oz. can of diced tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Saute garlic,onion, and olive oil in cast iron skillet.
  2. Add ground turkey and brown.
  3. Add carrots, celery and spices. Stir to combine.
  4. Add zucchini, tomato sauce and tomato paste. Combine well.
  5. Simmer on low until zucchini is tender (approximately 10 minutes). Enjoy!

    I’m confused about some of these recipes. If these are for a sugar detox, why do some have sugar in them? Example, the turkey chili has 10 grams.
