This beautiful smoothie bowl is one of my favorite ways to kick-start my mornings.

Becky's Simple Banana Berry Smoothie Bowl is packed with everything a well-rounded breakfast should be. Bananas are most known for their potassium content but they also boast a healthy dose of both soluble and insoluble fiber, great for weight control and keeping us regular. Blueberries are choke full of antioxidants that have been shown to lower LDL or "bad" cholesterol and raise HDL the "good"cholesterol. Ginger is a fantastic anti-inflammatory thanks to compounds called gingerols that are believed to reduce pain in chronic inflammation diseases such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

Ingredients

½ Banana (frozen)
¼ cup frozen yogurt
½ cup almond milk
1 slice of ginger
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 small piece of fresh lemon rind

Toppings
-blueberries
-strawberries
-almonds

Instructions

1. Place all ingredients in blender and blend.
